Satellite High School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program offers students the opportunity to gain practical skills and industry certifications in high-demand career fields—at no cost to families. By combining academic knowledge with hands-on experience, CTE prepares students for a seamless transition into the workforce or further education.
Students in CTE programs can earn industry-recognized certifications that are highly valued by employers, ensuring they graduate with a competitive edge. The district covers the cost of certification assessments, eliminating financial barriers and making these opportunities accessible to all students.
For seniors who have completed at least two years of a CTE program sequence, the CTE Internship Program offers an exciting option to replace on-campus classes with real-world work experience. Participants earn school credit and a grade for their work at an approved job site—paid or unpaid—while building their resume and applying what they've learned in a professional setting. This flexibility is especially beneficial for students who have met most graduation requirements and want to focus on their career goals.
Completing CTE courses can earn students the Industry Scholar Seal, qualify them for the Bright Futures Gold Seal Scholarship, and prepare them for college-level work. All of our CTE courses fulfill the practical/performing arts graduation requirement.
With pathways in Early Childhood Education, Auto Service Technology, Digital Media, Technical Design, Nutrition & Food Science, and Web Application Development, Satellite High’s CTE program equips students with the tools to thrive in their chosen fields and beyond.
