To begin the enrollment, please follow the link for FOCUS Parent Portal Registration and register for a new account:

https://brevardk12.focusschoolsoftware.com/focus/?skipSAML=true

  • You will need to have the following forms to upload and complete the online enrollment process. Please check the New Student Documents tab below for the Release to Request School Records and the Honor Code.

    • Birth Certificate (uploaded online in the application)

    • Immunizations ( uploaded online in the application)

    • Current Physical (uploaded online in the application)

    • (2) Proofs of Residency (uploaded online in the application)

    • Release to Request School Records (Drop off or email to Keyes.Lisa@brevardschools.org)

    • Honor Code (Drop off or email it to Keyes.Lisa@brevardschools.org)

  • If you have records, you can provide them for us as well, but we do need all records that show high school grades earned, especially if high school classes were taken in middle school or online.

  • You can have the registrar schedule a meeting with the counselor for you or you can schedule it online once you know your assigned counselor.

    • Once records arrive, these will be reviewed by your student's assigned counselor, so we recommend scheduling your appointment several days after the Registrar requests records so that everything that is needed has arrived for the meeting.

Transferring to SHS from another Brevard Public High School or Returning to Satellite from Home Education in Brevard or Out of State/Country?

To begin the enrollment process, please download the Registration Packet and Honor Code from the Documents tab below. Home Education students will also need the Home Education Termination Notice as well.

  • Please drop off or email the following documents to Keyes.Lisa@brevardschools.org

    • Completed Registration Packet

    • Honor Code

    • Home Education Termination Notice (if applicable)

  • You can have the registrar schedule a meeting with the counselor for you or you can schedule it online once you know your assigned counselor.

    • As long as your student already has a Brevard Public School Student ID Number, we will be able to see your student's records from their time enrolled in a BPS school once they are under Satellite.

    • If a student started in BPS schools and then leaves for a time before returning, we will need to request records from the other school(s) prior to being able to schedule your student into the correct courses to remain on track for graduation.

Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) & Personalized Education Plan Scholarship (PEP) Students

RE: Scholarship Eligibility/Impact

Please be aware that enrolling your student at Satellite may impact any scholarship that falls under the Family Empowerment Scholarship, F.S. 1002.394, or the Personalized Education Program (PEP) through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program F.S. 1002.395.

• A scholarship recipient, FES or PEP, who enrolls in a public school full-time is considered to have returned to a public school for the purpose of determining the end of the scholarship’s term.

• Receiving any exceptional student education services outlined on a student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), this does not include Service Plans (SP), could impact a student’s scholarship eligibility and/or impact scholarship funding.

• Enrolling in any class or program at a public school, for credit or non-credit, both fee and non-fee supported classes and programs offered at a public school, could endanger FES or PEP scholarship eligibility and/or impact scholarship funding.

• A student’s scholarship eligibility or funding could be impacted while he or she is participating in certain virtual schools, correspondence school, or distance learning program that receives state funding. It is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian to contact their scholarship funding organization to determine how enrollment in virtual programs could impact scholarship funding.
