This prestigious event, a beloved holiday tradition at Walt Disney World, features celebrity narrators who tell the story of Christmas, accompanied by a choir and a 50-piece orchestra. Due to the latest projected track of Hurricane Milton, and a slowdown of the storm's arrival in Brevard County, all BPS schools/offices will remain closed on Friday, 10/11.
As a reminder, BPS schools/offices are still scheduled to be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, 10/09 and Thursday, 10/10. Today, Tuesday 10/08 is still an early release day (Friday schedule).
Monday, 10/14, will remain a Teacher Workday/Student Holiday. Students are expected to return to school on Tuesday, 10/15.
We strongly encourage everyone to continue to follow the recommendations from Brevard County Emergency Management (Brevard EOC). Brevard Public Schools will continue to work collaboratively with the EOC on any changes or updates.

Milton Update # 2 | 10/7/2024 at 2:15 PM
Due to the intensification of Hurricane Milton, Brevard Public Schools will be observing an early release schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, 10/8. We will be following normal early dismissal procedures (Friday schedule). This decision was made to allow time for our families and staff to finalize preparations.
All after school activities will be canceled for Tuesday, 10/08. Aftercare will be held for families who need it but will finish at 5 PM, on Tuesday, 10/08.
Schools/offices are still scheduled to be closed on Wednesday, 10/09 and Thursday, 10/10.
We strongly encourage everyone to continue to follow the recommendations from Brevard County Emergency Management (Brevard EOC). Evacuations have not been ordered by the Brevard EOC at this time. Brevard Public Schools will continue to work collaboratively with the EOC on any changes or updates.

Milton Update #1 | 10/6/2024 @ 6 PM
Due to Hurricane Milton, all Brevard Public Schools and offices will be closed Wednesday, 10/09, and Thursday, 10/10.
At this time, all schools are expected to be open tomorrow, Monday, 10/07, and Tuesday, 10/08. Schools are also expected to be open on Friday, 10/11.
As the storm moves closer, a more detailed forecast will be made available. We will update families if anything changes.
The district will continue to work collaboratively with Brevard County Emergency Operations and other local agencies to monitor the storm’s progress and determine the best course of action for the safety of our students, staff, and families.

A huge congratulations to Tucker Frye and Beckett Kazmier on their nomination as semifinalists in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. High School seniors, includes the highest scoring entrants in each state who completed the 2023 SAT. Congratulations to Tucker and Beckett on this great achievement!

The Flagnormous event held during halftime of the Varsity Football game this past Thursday was a success! As a celebration of our first responders, the AFJROTC and our Scorp Cheerleaders presented a breathtaking flag display in the middle of the field as our Marching Scorps played.
Thank you to all of our local first responders who were at the game and stood along the sidelines during the event, and a massive thank you to all of the first responders across the globe who give back to their communities day in and day out. ❤🤍
